Sick of Peanut Allergy
I am a parent of a non-allergy child but have several friends that have severe peanut allergies. My daughter is
trained in how to properly clean her hands, not touch anyone while eating and to immediately use a wipe to clean her hands
after finishing her meal.
I for one and sick and tired of this issue. We have peanut butter tables and non-peanut butter tables and the parents
of peanut allegies want everything to be their way. If they want to be catered to, how is that helping their children in the
real world? What happens outside school hours? Does the local mall need to stop serving peanut products? Where does this end
and what about the rights of the non-allergy people?
I understand that this is serious, but I think we need to educate rather than restrict anything. Many people have
all kinds of allergies. At this rate, everyone will need to be home schooled.
That is my two cents' worth on this heated topic.
