Dairy-Free, Egg-Free Kid Pleasing Recipes & Tips by Theresa Kingma

KidPleasingRecipes.jpg

This is a wonderful cookbook for those of you who cook for kids with dairy, egg or nut allergies.  The author, Theresa Kingma, began her journey into the world of food allergies when one of her sons was diagnosed with anaphylaxis to dairy and egg, soon followed by a diagnosis of nut allergy.

She has compiled an incredible selection of original recipes that are kid-tested and kid-pleasing. She reminds the readers that these are recipes geared toward kids, not adults, and that she only included recipes that her own kids liked and will eat. The recipes sound good enough to please adults as well, so don't let the kid-pleasing part keep you from trying these recipes if you're an adult with food allergies, or someone who cooks for a food-allergic child but doesn't want to make separate meals and snacks.

Theresa also includes a section with some good tips on how to handle milk, dairy and nut allergies in everyday life.
